where is the damn screw... i am so stupid !!

I was installing the jdm hood scoop for my 02 wrx,
and while removing the screws.. i dropped the first screw that i tried untighten.
and it's inside the car, somewhere...
i tried to go fast and then stop hard, and i don't see any screws on the road.
anyway to find it?
how dangerous is it to have a free screw in the engine bay area?
anybody can help?

Thanks

you could try using those rods witht the magnets at the end and running it through the area where it fell.

A free screw a problem? Mine usually at least cost at least a dinner. You will survive ~ buy another!

Haha, I've lost plenty of screws in my engine bay. The last one I've lost is the one that holds down the air box (yes, I'm stupid).

Oh and Harbor Freight has I think a set of 2 or 3 of the magnetic rod which I got for $8

There is a spot on top of the engine under the intake manifold and another underneath the engine between the frame on the hidden shelf.
Maybe it went in one of those?
