I think that would give the cop an instant urge to pop the hood.

not really, my friend's FC has flames coming out when he's idling, shifting gear, or whatever. not really fireballs, but still easily visable at night. and his exhaust is prety quiet.

i did the NIGHT i got my downpipe put on, i havent shot many, but i happened to open up a bit down a road to my house (not in a housing track) and it fired off right by a cop he pulled me over, i said it must be my exhaust that the car has a leak and the "air/fuel" might be off and i hope subaru covers this on a brand new car, the cop felt bad and said to fight it if they dont cover it haha... i love dumb cops.

I think the safesst thing to do is play dumb. When you start using terms like AFR, leak in exhaust, Vacuum pressure ect. You are showing that you are knowledgable of you auto. Most people on the road don't know where to check thier oil. Cop: "What's this" You: "I don't know". Cop: Where are you cats? You: " there's more than one?", Aren't they in the exhaust pipe? I believe most of the cops don't have a clue what they are looking at either. They pull you over on suspicion, and wait for you to open your mouth.

I shot a MAMMOTH fireball infront of a cop once, he didn't do anything... I was waiting to use my "leaking fuel injector causing it to run rich, I am bringing it into the dealer. I already have an appointment set up next week" excuse

and then there will be the one time you get pulled over by a cop and he was a mechanic before he was a leo ... and he takes your valve covers off and measures lift on the cam, not me but someone i know in a ls1 ta i guess the exhaust that consisted only of a 12" resonator tipped him off to pop the hood,
then he saw headers and a supercharger which led him to taking the valve covers off and giving him a huge open ticket to see a smog referee and have his car inspected so now his 539whp 11.8 @ 125 on street tires car is no longer... sold the parts went back to stock and sold the car. its sad, almost makes me want to move to a new state.

Last time I shot a fireball mario was driving.

I opted to keep my stock 3rd cat, I will replace it with a high flow once I find one that looks stockish and doesn't cost over $300.

That sounds like a cop who enjoys being a pain in the rear
