When buying a used car..

I seem to remember hearing from someone.. at some point.. that in California it is the law that a potential buyer can ask the dealer to see what they payed for a car used or new.

I tried googling but couldn't find anything. Anyone know about this?

Go over to Bay Cities (Manheim) Auto Auction in Hayward on like a Tuesday before 11am and ask for a recent sales report. Look at similarly classed vehicles and cross reference what they sold for against KBB to figure out what the current Wholesale Market is bearing.

Some of the salesmen know the price but def will not tell you,Otherwise there goes his deal.No one wants to pay a dealer any amount over the payed price of a trade in but wont happen unless you know someone that works at the location.
