I picked other. I was on the complete opposite end of this conundrum, and you probably remember our convos about it. I decided to do 90% BJJ and 10% judo because of my situation. I want my black. I want to teach. I know it takes ten years in BJJ to get your black and I dont care I'm going for it. The 10% judo is for stand up when I compete. And I can understand why you dont. I do it for the fun and for showing me holes in my game. My personal advice would be to find a different club/organization/cave/etc to train judo in. Get your black. With the fact that you moonlight in BJJ newaza will be a breeze for you, just like nage-waza and katame-waza are for me. I know it sounds easier than it looks, but dont just ditch out on judo because of one ****ty *** gym. Isn't that what you told me?

SIDENOTE: I'll be in Anaheim 2/14-2/16 competing at KO Finisher. Come through. http://www.kofinisher.com/home.html

You mean capoeira? And I'm always down to spar with anyone.

I went back to Muay Thai after going to Thailand and seeing Rambo Fairtex again as well as stopping by Petchyindee and catching the championship fights at Lumpinee Stadium. Maybe I'll return to judo at some point when I find a dojo that suits my needs better though!

Thats awesome that you got an opportunity to rediscover Muay Thai. Its wrong that a judo school would push you to compete and base your promotion opportunity on it. Coach ***** Cahill wouldn't approve. If you're in the Bay Area and you do want to get back into Judo or BJJ, shoot me a pm. I know someone who is teaching at two different schools and I'm in the supply side of the industry.
