Just started rebuilding my '94 Robinson SST. Have the original handlebars but switched them out for a more narrow set I had lying around.

Obviously needs a lot of work still but I'll post back once its complete again.

Been out of bikes for a while. Can anyone recommend some decent wheels / crank / pedals / brakes? Not looking to go all out, just get best bang for the buck parts.

For brakes I wanna get ones where the cable pulls from the center of the brake, not from the side. Have the latter style on my mountain bike and hate it.

awesome i remember always wanting that bike. my advise it to buy another bmx off craigslist and try to sell whatyouhave on ebay, asian people are currently going crazy for the old school bmx bikes they rode as kids, especially when they have a bunch of original parts

Yea I see what you're saying. Saw someone selling my same bike on ebay for around 300.

I'd still prefer to keep this frame though since its kinda rare and really light imo.

My old school 90's Specialized Hard Rock. Still going strong. And just like most of us here on this thread, my bike rack REALLY gets used!

I have an early 90s BOSS USA XL Frame, Boss 3 piece cranks, SE landing gear (ORIGINAL not remakes) Pitbull Rear brakes, Answer 2 piece handle bars, DK neck, Araya Rims with Redline sealed hubs flip flop rear.
I wish i had held onto my old Powerlite XXL Team Bike. The Bike was so sick A friend traded me his 1967 Plymouth Satellite with a 383, flowmasters, american racing wheels and the car ran!!!

So I'm thinking of getting a bike for leisure riding but I also want to have it be comfortable for 10+ mile rides. I was thinking about getting a Trek Hybrid 7000.

Anyone have any better suggestions?

kinda double your budget, but Giant makes a couple of interesting city bikes.

Yeah I think those are a bit expensive for my first bike. The most expensive I'm willing to go is around the FX 7.3 or the Giant/Specialized equivalent to it.
