What gauges do I need?
There are quite a few options with gauge as far as how much money you want to spend, what look you are going for, size you want...and most important, what do you want/need to monitor.
GReddy
Omori
HKS
Autometer
VDO
Etc.
They all make good products. Here is a link to the "other" site on a gauge only thread. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255488 There is lots of stuff to look at and some different options on gauge placement as well.
I went with EGT, Fuel Pressure & Oil Temp (GReddy 52mm) and then I had a factory boost already mounted on the steering column. Reason I got Oil Temp and Fuel Pressure is because I have an upgraded fuel system and an oil cooled aftermarket turbo. I just wanted to keep an eye on those two systems.
Just do some searching around and see what's best for you. If you are running a 3-gauge pillar, you can always run something else on the dash or steering column if you need to.
For me I like the boost gauge on the column right in front of the tachometer. Easy to see. Then on the dash I have EGT, Oil Temp & Fuel Pressure, in that order. What I felt was most important to least important.
Hope that helps some.
