i used to only use chevron...
then i hit the only 76 phase...
now it's mainly still 76 91 octane, but i'm starting to care less and less...
car runs so crappy now the gas doesn't matter anymore
(i've run with 100 octane, and 110 leaded before as well.. don't do that tho)

Actually I pretty much only use 76 91 when I use pump gas, although I only use Shell gas when tuning my car (as it's the crappiest I can find locally).

U get VP fuels? Any of the streetblaze 100e in stock?

This area is perfect for WRX.... We have a VP and we have Speedway with 100 and 110 pump gas

Also, Shell Gas....WORST GAS! It is dirty!! I bought gas there one time, and a week later it killed my fuel level sensor and my sending unit. So I was on the highway one day with "1/4 tank of gas" and really I was below E. Need I say more?

P.S. If this happend to you, SHELL will pay you back...

Roughly 600 Shell and Texaco gasoline stations in parts of Florida and Louisiana temporarily halted their sales after customers complained the gasoline damaged their fuel gauge sensors, Shell Oil said Friday.

"We've asked our Shell and affiliated Texaco branded stations that were affected to stop selling gasoline due to elevated levels of sulfur in the fuel," said a Shell spokeswoman.

Gasoline with excess sulfur can damage fuel gauges, leaving drivers vulnerable to running out of gas without warning, she said.

This could prove inconvenient for motorists planning to get away for the U.S. Memorial Day holiday weekend -- typically the kick off for the peak summer driving season in the United States, the world's biggest consumer of motor fuel.

The problem caused the closure of 140 gas stations in New Orleans, Louisiana, amounting to 40 percent of the city's stations, and 450 stations in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa and Sarasota in Florida, adding up to five percent of the stations in the Sunshine State.

The fuel was produced from Shell's joint venture Motiva LLC refinery in Norco, Louisiana, the spokeswoman said. She added that the refinery continued to operate during an investigation into the cause of the high sulfur levels.

The gasoline was sold from the company's Kenner, Louisiana, fuel terminal, where the stored gasoline has since been treated with an additive to lower the sulfur content.

The spokeswoman added that the gasoline at the affected retail stations would be returned and treated to remove the excess sulfur.

Shell Oil is a unit of Royal Dutch/Shell Group.

I just moved down to Palm Springs from Oakland. I found a truck stop here that has VP Racing 100 Octane at the pump and its right up the street from my house!!! $4.99 a gallon though but I can really feel the difference in seat of the pants driving. Especially in 4th and 5th on the freeway. Smells good too....

did you reset your ecu after putting in the gas
if you didn't its mainly psychological unless you've run through a tank of that stuff
adaptation isn't that quick unless you clear the ecu adaptation tables first, the ecu likes to run safe

and hydrocarbons are hydrocarbons, i dont think 100 octane smells any sweeter haha... i thought that, but that's only b/c i wanted to justify the 100oct over 91... this was before i learned that adaptation took a while... i thought i was flying out of the station when there was probably still only 91 in my fuel lines in the M3. after 3/4 tank of the stuff, probably due to less weight and the ecu catching on, the car was ripping through 3rd and pulled to 8k...

however, with engine management and a 100 map, your car can be tuned for different gas instantly. the first time I got on it getting on the freeway in the STI running the 100 map... wow.. no lag at all.

but yea vp 100 is nice gas
