Question 100,000 Mile Warranty

Hey any of you guys have 100,000 miles on your suby yet? If so did you have to do any major repairs as far as engine, transmission, etc... The only reason why I ask is my friend just purchased a 05 wagon and was debating getting the extended warranty. Any help is appreciated.

-Thx

I'm coming up on 142,000 and to be honest- I would pass on the extended "gold" plan from Subaru.
I bit on it but was quite dissapointed to find it only covered major stuff which wasn't going to break anyway, so timing belt and engine seals were serviced out of my pocket at 95,000.

also if your planning to mod your rex the extended warranty won't do you much good anyway. same goes to your factory warranty for that matter. if you do mod make sure you go to the "right dealer" when have service/warranty issues.

Depending on where you live, and who is going to service your WRX.

If you go to Ron Price in SF, they charge approx. 150 an hour for labor.
In Santa Cruz, they charge 99 dollars/hour.

If you don't know much about engines, my advice is, get the extended warranty.
Hourly rates for service centers are never going to decrease. It's like buying
insurance.
