The photo is pretty bad at showing how much distance there was, it was calculated.

Finally got around to fabbing a new trunk panel for the fatass...

Used abs from TAP, automotive carpet from stereo shop, felt backer underneath the carpet (cut around the panel of course) and clear lucite bar to make the sub corner and keep the box in place. Crap load of 3M 77 to glue the panel and fabric layers together real nice like.

SO nice to not have to worry about that box taking out the trunk walls hahaha.

Started rebuilding the car audio this week after the break in... Good time to do a redux, I guess.

Mocked up the amp rack/box.

Amp rack built, cutouts for vents and amp rack plate for quick connects were done this weekend, no pictures yet.

Buildt the support for the Wicked CAS Magic box. Luckily there was a conveniently placed hole above where my exhaust used to be in the trunk sub floor. A nice 5/16th rod through 2x3 should do the trick.

Had to cut out portions of the rings because the Sundown SD-3 10" has a wider spider than I thought. Fits on top of the ring, seals OK for now. May change this set up or use another sub.

Above is the layout the amp set up. MS-8, MS-A1004, and MS-A5001. Will be making and routing new speaker cable/conections with Nuetrik Speakon ports on the box for quick connect/disconnect. RCA's will be rebuilt using Canare cable and Nuetrik RCA plugs. Box will be stained ebony on the inside and carpet on the outside for a stealth look. Still trying to find a good place to secure the amp box to the subfloor.

Ah ok, yea they do look really similar lol.

In a couple weekends I might end up there (Loon) or, Union Valley reservoir or Ice House reservoir.

What's the depth & cut-out diameter of that SD-3 10? You pickup that WickedCAS new or used? How do you like it?

Got it new, looked cleaner than the AI enclosure, but you have to drill your own mounting points and they are different than the AI ones. The wire connections are where there is a stud you can drill through for a more flush to the wall appearance. If i were to do it all over again, I would just build a box in the spare tire well, I didn't like cutting up a new fiberglass enclosure seeing as though it was $$$ to begin with :/
