Pretty nice numbers, sound like fun :-)

Actually, I was just transporting my buddies bumper cover and beam since it was a hassle to fit in his STi. He was griding down his bumper beam to fit the JDM fogs and bezels on his 05 STi

Father & son project continued. Installed v6 jdm bumper skin & beam and lip. Will wire up fogs eventually. Also removed the intake snorkel. Stock airbox still in place though.

My son is learning a lot about how to take apart and reassemble the car. Good bonding time.

Anyone in or near SJ with jack/jack stands and some free time to help a brother out? Car developed an annoying rattle that's driving me nuts. Might be that Jojo broke one of the crappy tack welds on the exhaust heat shields near the muffler due to ziptying the midpipe last time I swapped out the DP. Still need to double check that it isn't the turbo heatshield. Doubtful, though.

Will buy lunch/beer/etc!

Those look nice -- I don't get why they haven't come down in price though. Why doesn't BaysonR or someone make a nice knockoff? I'd like one but I'm not spending $200 for a used hood ornament that isn't even painted the right color (white). Or maybe I will. We'll see.

Went in for some corner balancing at Roger Kraus in Castro Valley! These guys did some awesome work. Had ride height adjusted when it was in also, alignment came out great too.

I'm not wild about the grill but otherwise very nice car all around. I was kind of expecting a lighter vehicle weight. Do you have subs in there or anything like that?

I saw that he put a 6spd in recently so definitely some more weight with that.

Heedz did you ever happen to weigh your car while it still had the 5spd installed?

I'll be doing a 6spd as well once my current clutch goes out and just curious. If anything I'll throw my 6spd on a scale once I pull it out of my other car lol.

It was about. 3040 I think without me in it.

When it was weighed it had me sub and amps still bolted down in there. So to be honest not a bad weight with the drivetrain and sound system in it. It'll be dropping some weight with the driveshaft coming this week.

IIRC STi 6-spd vs. WRX 5-spd is ~120 lbs difference due to much stronger beefier bell housing.
