The "What did you do to your car today" Thread!
What kind of rubbing compound? I just picked up meguiars ultimate compound for the paint job im giving my trunk and new wing.
Doing a 1500 grit wetsand on the fresh orange peel clear and the ultimate compound is supposed to shine it back up.
Ive seen seperate heavy rubbing compound and then the polishing compound to finish. I wonder if meguiars did theirs all in one......
A all in one would be cool, but from my experience rubbing compounds have a grit to them (the heavier the compound, the more abrasive it is). So i feel like a "all in one" would just be a lighter/less abrasive compound that will require more work in the long run.
Sorry for the long response, blame it on thw alcohol

I use the cheap turtle wax heavy and light compounds, they work great for bridging between sandpaper and polishing compound on metals.

finally got started on my 2012 quad tip install on my 02 GD RS. This system will include a cutout that will run straight pipes to right side when opened.
First I started by relocating the charcoal canister into the trunk well for piping clearance. also removed the tow hook for now as well as wired up switch
I still need to mock up some piping, make hangars, design custom diffuser, and some more items.
here are some prelim photos of relocated charcoal canister. ill be making a thread for a few more relocation DIYs ill be doing. (power steering tank, ABS module, battery, windshield washer tank)
damn piktures wont load.,

This morning, I finally installed my rear lift assist bar that I had gotten for my Legacy, but sold before I could do the work. I was really nervous about drilling holes on the hatch, but as soon as the drill made contact, I knew I had to commit to completing it. Really happy with the results.
