I also picked up a bimmer about a month ago, fortunately I was able to keep my subie. I only got a 325 ci though, but I love it. I didn't buy it for hp, (obviously) I just wanted something more comfortable to drive when I go out on a date or on a long drive. It's an 02 and it only had 53k.

+1 welcome to the bimmer krew. You won't regret owning the ultimate driving machine. Trust me, they meant it when the said it! As long as you listen to your car when it tells you to get the oil change, inspection I and Insection IIs be diligent about getting it done.

Tamashi...I just picked up my E30 vert today hehe. I'll post pics up soon in Show and Shine!

I speak as a former BMW owner and current Impreza owner. Wait, I think I went the wrong way

Congrats on the E30 vert! I still think that E30 M3 is one of the best traditional sportscars even today. Love those bulletproof 2.3 engines.

No kidding, I've had alot of friends/relatives with Euro cars- Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Renault, Saab; they really can't be treated like Japanese imports when it comes to maintenance. What do you expect, they will break down when you don't religiously maintain it. Get a Toyota if you want it to run forever

I still can't get over my uncle's Renaults in the Philippines; ran up to 250km with religious basic maintenance. Pretty much only died in car accidents. then again driving in the asia region is a whole different ball game but I won't go there
