wow thats a lot of money to get married haha... i think i am in for a big surprise hahaha.
I would LOVE to have the wedding somewhere more realistic so all our friends and family could go.. there isn't one person i can think of that i have to invite.. that i wouldn't want there.. so that is cool.
At this point i think she is gonna pick out a dress and all that fun stuff. So i will kick back until the time is right LOL.

I only want it from the people that started. but yes someday I'll get one. I want it running up my rib cage.
CONGRATS!!!! I just about passed out when I popped the question. Didn't expect it to be so tense, but hey - it worked out nice.
Gotta second this.. I'm from HI, but just got married in Scotland.
Not one family member showed up (didn't expect them to, but offered to pay).
We were torn because I have a lot of friends, and my wife is from Sweden so if we had it here I would have to invite 3 uku-trillion people as Jeff mentions above and all of her family would have had to come all the way here from the UK and Sweden. We started looking around at places too, and the hunting lodge in Scotland we rented for a weekend was less than some of the banquet rooms here in the Bay!! And Scotland is awesome.... When it came clear that my family from HI was moaning about coming all the way over here AND having to wear shoes, we said heck it and took the event to Europe. We roadtripped through the UK w/ my best friend and his wife before hand, checked out my old house and met up with some friends in the Midlands, and then went to Spain and Sweden for a few weeks after. It was nice.
Somewhere tropical is classic of course too - seems like some cool advice here. I have always wanted to go to New Zealand, but I know nothing about the other places (Fiji, Tahiti, etc).
My pops got a couple of those old school tatoos from this dude on the Big Island when I lived there - he does it in the old style as well. Beautiful work, but it takes a loooong time. A really good friend of mine has been having him work on her for about 3 yrs now. Amazing stuff to be sure (and he brings his own kava haaa).
I got married in HI. The cool part about that is only the people that really matter will be there. You are obligated to send an invitation to, oh say; your mothers third cousin. You probably don't care if that person is there but you'll never hear the end of it if you don't send an invitation. If it's in some remote location they're not going to go. They do end up feeling obligated to send a gift. It works out quite nicely. Everyone that matters is there. Everyone else.... F 'em

Damn dude, I hope you're rich as that is just insane for a lower/upper/middle class household. It would be much better in a savings account or downpayment on a house. Im not trying to be rude here (as I dont know your financial situation)...its just very surprising to read on i-club.
