Well yea cause you wanted to do it cheaply and that was the most obvious route, there's also the fact that you probably caused your current issue running Vodka as coolant or something anyway!

My 04 WRX wagon is having the same symptom. The OD is showing 237K+ Seeing Mert the week after Easter. In the mean time, I'll be driving my 93 MR2.
