Haha, that Celtics team was so fun to watch. A few rag tag group of players. So many sloppy plays, but they still ended up winning games and even upsetting the Pacers in the 1st round.
Warriors are tied with the Raptors for 7th worst record. To break up tiebreakers, both teams were entered in a drawing (my guess is probably a coin toss) to see who would end up with the 7th spot. Warriors win the drawing. When the actual lottery happens on May 30, this means the Warriors aren't necessarily guaranteed the 7th pick (meaning they could still end up with the 8th spot which would go to Utah), but have like a 70% chance of retaining the pick.

^^^ thanks for explaining. was wondering about how that worked. If they can get the lottery pick i think they could be good enough to make a playoff run next season, assuming everybody stays healthy.
hmmm...
i'm watching the FOX & FRIENDS show this morning and they flashed on the lower-third crawl that the warriors are close to signing a deal with san fran to start playing the 2016-2017 season there...
dang... i wish this deal would fall apart.
1. change the name to OAKLAND WARRIORS.
2. the arena has been revamped last few years. plus, almost a sellout every night... what are the new owner's beef?

Yeah I don't see why they need to move across the bay, its just going to cause more traffic and etc to SF
The spot they have now isn't a bad location, but supposedly they want a way more "high-tech" location

SF is the more "attractive" name and location. Maybe they think players would want to come here now since they will move to SF lol. Honestly, that's just stupid thinking. It's really simple: Win consistently, and superstars and other players will start considering the Warriors as a team they want to be on.
problem is that owners should be silent. mark cuban is a punk for trying to change that.
what the hell did he know or had to do with the mullins jersey event?
ellis trade will be good in the future.

"Mayor Lee Announces Golden State Warriors To Build New Arena On SF Waterfront
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today announced that the Golden State Warriors plan to build a new sports and entertainment arena on the waterfront in San Francisco in time for the 2017-18 NBA season. The privately financed arena will be located at Piers 30-32 on San Francisco Bay, south of the Bay Bridge, between the Ferry Building and AT&T Park.
“We are working with the Warriors to get a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose arena built on the waterfront in San Francisco and completed in 2017,” said Lee. “The Warriors have been the Bay Area’s basketball team for 50 years, and today sets the stage for the Warriors to be the Bay Area’s team for another 50. This project will provide millions of dollars in new tax revenue for San Francisco over the long term for services local residents need, including public safety, parks, public transit, pothole repair, youth programs and senior services.”
“Building a world-class, state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facility will create thousands of new jobs for local residents,” said Warriors Co-Executive Chairman and CEO Joe Lacob. “We are pleased to be privately financing the arena – with no money from the City’s general fund and no new taxes – and look forward to providing an incredible entertainment experience for Bay Area fans.”
The new facility will host the Bay Area’s NBA basketball team, as well as provide a spectacular new venue for top-tier concerts, cultural events and conventions, prominent events the City currently cannot accommodate. The new arena will be located in an incredibly transit- and pedestrian-rich location, with a Muni Metro stop at its doorstep, and only a few blocks from Embarcadero Station and the new Transbay Transit Center.
“With convenient options for BART, Muni, CalTrain and ferry service, this will be one of the most transit-friendly facilities in the nation,” said Warriors Co-Executive Chairman Peter Guber. “We know that’s important for our fans and a real positive to this location.”
Under the agreement, the City will provide the land and the Warriors will pay to repair the crumbling piers, and privately finance the arena project. The cost of repairs is estimated at $75 to $100 million.
In addition to the creation of thousands of new jobs for Bay Area residents, the new arena will generate hundreds of millions of dollars in new economic growth and activity for the City.
“Games, concerts, conventions and other events will bring people from all over the region, and the money they spend will directly benefit local businesses,” said San Francisco Travel President & CEO Joe D’Alessandro."

Well, we'll see if they can start to attract bigger names to come play for the Warriors with a move to San Francisco. It's a larger city and other teams tend to want to stay in the city rather than in or around the Oakland area.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of crowd is attracted to the new venue and if it will be a Sell Out event as it seems to have been for a while now in Oakland. I don't see a projected size of the new facility listed above, but that should come with time. Wonder if it will be a much larger venue than what is currently in Oakland or if it is going to remain around the same size.

I don't think it'll be that much bigger becuase there's limited room on the piers for a huge stadium, not so sure how I feel about a giant arena just feet above the water haha
Just watched somethin on csn, the main guy was saying its going to be used for way more than just a basketball stadium so it'll be multipurpose super high tech
