well all the Spurs bench guys have a champ ring, so they are better than these warriors.

2. They're winning and you start following them.
3. Your family beat it in to your head to like them.

You said you'd take a bench player over curry because they have rings. Those rings came because they were on a good team. You can be a great player and not win a ring... you can also be a crappy one and win a ring.
