i want this to be a warning to anyone using the walgreens brand peel and stick heat pads. the one with small grains of sand like material in them. i guess there was a recall on a batch because they would get WAY to hot.
i had a rather bad migraine and my neck was super sore so i placed a heat pad on my neck to loosen up the muscle. i also shaved my head to days prior and didnt know i had the start of a ingrown hair. i fell asleep and was awakened to a intense pain. heres the result of having the pad on for 45minutes. my skin blistered and filled with puss.

Same thing happened to my friend - went for a long bike ride and fried his quads. He iced first then stuck two of those pads on his legs - one on each side. Woke up with gnarly blistered burns about an hour later.
