Fortunately Max Mosely is pretty much gone.
And IRC is not very organizer friendly, they still run under FIA regs but from what I've heard they are even more ridiculous about events needing to pay up front to even begin talking about inclusion in the IRC than the WRC is.
That and they are owned by Eurosport which means we probably won't be seeing IRC on stateside TV anytime soon, if ever at all.
Recent changes at the FIA should start usher in a revitalization of WRC, I've heard that 4-5 new manufacturers may come into play next year- really hoping it happens.
