This is my second year living in socal, and for the past year, every person i've met who grew-up in socal hates people from norcal. Up in san francisco, we never talk about people outside of norcal.

if you go to a giants vs. dodgers game in LA, people wearing giants gear have a small chance of getting shot at. if you go to the same game in sf, people don't really care for others wearing dodgers gear.

personally, i don't really care when socal people clown on norcal people, but, i do want to know why it goes on.

 

It's cuz we are hella tighter then socal people.

 

for example...when i wear an old sf giants shirt or hat around my friends in riverside, they automatically become some die-hard dodgers fan who live to destroy all giants fans. what is up with that?

 

after being in both places, i can't say i hate any of em. i like norcal, but i like socal too

 

i agree, you gotta love the sunny days of socal. but i just want to know why socal people hate norcal.

 

i like norcal and socal the same.

It's not about where you're at. It's about who you're with.

 

i don't really care about norcal, to me it's just jokes.

Thats weird... when i talk to people up north... some seem to have something to prove and are against people from down here... otherwise most people up there are cool and laidback... soggynoodles is correct.. it depends who you're with... i tease people up north when they say hella... but they tease me when i say doode...

my big bro and lil bro in teh fraternity are from nor cal and are SF fans. they know not to wear giants crap. the reason why is just the rivalry sp? beteew the two.
they chant beat la every time we play there

nor cal says hella and they come down here thinking its cool.

nor cal never lets us get in a word on a thread about us. 9/12 posts in this thread are nor cal people

i've lived in both places....i didn't get much of that "socal is better than norcal" attitude or the hate that you speak of. maybe it's only from your social group.

on the flip side, what's with the "Norcal" stickers on cars? i attribute that to high school mentality....lame.

I just say Nor Cal sucks to get everyjuan here closer to the border, ask soggypenis, I can care less about where you live, let alone Peru.


I lived in SF on my own for about a year and half-ling. Did I like it, sure in the beginning. Teh Mission blows! And SF is so un car friendly(so is So Cal have to worry about thieves jacking your foglight covers).

I have a lot of friends up north, people from Vallejo, Daily(omghi2u), Sac, Cupe(omghi2u), Sunnyvale(omghi2u), San Jose(omghi2u). Would I want to live up there, no, its not the same as down here,.

We have hawt chicks, a better J-town, we have 3 china towns(D-town LA, Alhambara, Rowland Heights), Little Saigon, K-town, and Flip Town(aka Nogales). So what traffic sucks, but there are a lot more things to do down here than up there. Yeah we have smog issues, but you drive a Subaru, doubt your doing your part in keeping the air clean.

You guys are talking about baseball, damn with Basketball games we have riots.

When people talk about different attitudes...

All that I can say is when a person says stop being immature, I can only think to myself does the person who said it think they're mature?
