I don't blame VW at all, I blame wind tunnels, computers, and a desire for high fuel economy. There are only so many shapes a computer can come up when trying to maximize space and maximize aerodynamics while retaining a general layout, in this case a hatchback. Infact, I credit VW with doing a MUCH better job than Honda with what they were given.

same antenna!

VW had that antenna first! Serious though, they were using that type of antenna when hondas were still using the A pillar pull out design that our bug eyes are cursed with.

I like the front end shape and the fact that the backend looks like a GTI, but overall the thing looks really small, like a Geo!

That's because the Cayanne looks like the Toureg (sp?) which in turn is made to look like the Passat, which from what I understand is the "new face" of VW. On the subject of the Toureg, when the hell is the Audi Pikes Peak coming out? I can't wait!

I actually like it a lot better. I hate the new model Si. I'd bet that the interior of the VW smokes the honda as well.

But yes...very similar.

Last night on the SPEED channel I saw a quick blurb that VW is gonna build a Toureg for the Dakkar (sp?) rally. They showed a quick pic of it, and it looked pretty badass....anyone else see that?
