Pleasantville Subaru service dept.?
Does anyone know, or have any experience with, the service that the people at the Pleasantville Subaru dealership provide?
I need to get some servicing done, and was wondering if they are any better/worse than any other dealership in Westchester?
Plus, it's close to where I work, so I figure it would be that much easier to get there...but I would like to know if anyone has any info. on their track record?
Any info. would be appreciated.
Thanks,
i.

thanks darby...
that's the same reply that I got from a couple of other people on nasioc. I guess I will stay away from them, cause closeness is nto worth it for mediocre service.
Thanks,

This story was from about 10 years ago so they may have changed since then (but based on the previous feedback...maybe not), but that Subaru and Ford (across the street) are affiliated. My friend who's parents are quite influential with high powered friends bought a couple of Explorers from them. My friend's explorer had some problems so he brought it in. They jerked him around for months and he almost got into a fistfight with the service people, so his father finally had to contact his friend who is Ford's CEO, and had the dealership reprimanded and reimburse my friend. hahaha...needless to say, we stay away from that dealership. I only go there to look at the cars since I live in that town, but I will go all the way to Colonial Subaru in Danbury or to Metric in Long Island to service.
If you're looking for nonwarranty type of service like oil change, the Citgo guy at Broadway (rt. 141) and Marble is really hardworking and honest...that's the one toward Thorwood at the intersection past the MacDonalds, Friendly's, and Saw Mill River entrance...right across from the Mobil.
