tranny problems (was: quick question..)

yea, take it to marin and have them check it and talk to them about everything. any dealership will warrantize any subaru, as long as it's covered that is.

something that kinda eases my mind is that marin told me a few months ago, that as long as it does not appear to be obvious 100% abuse then they will honor the warranty.
i wonder how they feel about me doing my own maintainance :-/

if your forced to drive 70 so you can have a conversation over the whine of your diff I'm guessing you have serious problems. I'm not a mechanic...but I think it's bad.
I would immediately take your car to one of the local scooby specialists (Gruppe-S, Auto HQ, LIC) and maybe you can salvage something from your diff. you will probably save yourself a few $$$ over a subaru dealer.

man, that's terrible.
PM me if you need help writing a letter to the manager or you need someone to go with you in person. It's crap like this that irks me to no end. You already got bent over when you bought the vehicle, and they've still got the audacity to go bareback w/o lube on you.

go to Subaru of Santa Cruz, explain the problem. It is a long drive, but you will feel very well taken care of with them. They actually give a damn.
