Blue....yeah you can get on from highway 1 at bay/porter exit. Follow it out to 17. Fun little road to drive when it's empty.....very tight...fun without having to speed too much. Though I did buzz two cops last time through. first time I've seen cops in ages on that road at night though.

Heh. I commuted from Santa Cruz to various places around the south bay for 13 years. 1 year in a '77 Subaru, 8 years in a '91 VW GTI, and 4 years in a Subaru OBS. Oh, and reasonably regularly on a motorcycle, weather permitting. It's not so bad.
I finally moved to San Jose last year, not because of the commute, but because there're no ice rinks in Santa Cruz, and I was driving over here 7 days a week instead of just 5.
Anyway, this is Subaru weather, so I dunno what you all're complaining about!
