Furthermore, I agree that the older population in Russia might not like the current situation as under communism they were better taken care of and there was a smaller separation of classes. I am not saying that the country is for everyone, but not everyone's for that country either. We are talking about politics and the economy, remember that. Don't make this personal as I am not.

What language does your grandmother tell you all these things in?
A mix of Russian and English. My Russian isn't great since she didn't want me to speak it growing up. I still have family there who hate the government and do not trust it. Actually I can't think of one of the 20 I talk to on semi-regular basis that like the government, like the old saying goes "love my country fear my government"

And it is the RIGHT of the US Government to keep its eye on Russia for the protection of its people.. Especially when Russia is involved with a country like Venesuela.

And you are honestly going to say Putin is stable? Not saying the KGB is all bad, but it is certainly a shiesty organization. My family can speak from experience. And Putin was certainly heavily involved with KGB.
Putin revived the economy and the left the country ten fold better than prior to his "reign", I fail to see his instability. I partially agree with you and don't think that the KGB is a warm-hearted organization, but the CIA/FBI pull ridiculous stunts here and there as well. Putin was in the KGB, so he indeed was involved and now he's rich, that's why people hate him.

Do you believe that there is a chance that Russia will ever go to war with the US? I don't, simply because it would most likely be the end of the world if a single shot were ever to be fired. Nuclear powers do not go to war against one another, the US and Russia both know that.

I agree, but the world is in such a bad place right now who knows?
Our governments are in such a weird place in today's age it is hard to predict.
