i always thought Teslas were really cool. I had a chance to meet them at SEMA in 2007 and I believe 2006 and they were SUUUCH big aholes with chips on their shoulders...sorta like Stevens Creek Subaru sales reps back in the day...or maybe they still suck these days (not sure since i've been in socal for quite a while now)

I was reading the news story online in an article that said Tesla has been struggling to gain venture capital and loans from the Fed.... What the hell is wrong with our industry? We throw billions at auto makers that consume gas, instead of throwing billions at a car company with the RIGHT mind in creating electric cars? The Tesla has outstanding performance for a full electric car. I'm not even looking for performance when looking at an electric car. It shows the correct development of the country. The Tesla and Roadster are overpriced by any standards compared to something like a Honda Accord or civic;however, with more companies (who SHOULD be turning to full electric cars) coming out the prices should drop dramatically within reasonable middle class family automobiles.
Good luck, and they better get some damn money to invest. I hope prices drop and the replaceable battery isn't expensive like the batteries in the hybrids (which are 7-8k every 7 years or something, just as much as maintaining if not more for regular combustible engine cars.)
