AT&T Wireless Hookup?
I was searchin threads and found one about 4 months ago, was wonderin' if anyone had a hook or deals on phones/plans (family plan really) and the average pricing.
My friend has a fam plan of 2 (cheapest fam plan) and blackberrys and their total bill is about 80 bux. 2 blackberres + unlimited text/internet ($10 bux each), cheapest fam plan with rollover minutes, free att to att users.
Anyone have an idea of any plans around that ball park?

im using this recurring plan i've been on since 1996. it's a family plan for 4 people. 25 bucks a month per phone I believe for 1000 anytime, unlimited night/weekends, unlimited text. I don't use any data plans cuz I never use the internet on the phone anyways. free att/cingular to att/cingular.
every 3-4 years or so I just buy an unlocked phone and switch the sim cards out.

Any tips? Like what specific phone to buy or whatnot. I want a new phone but still want to keep my current plan.
Sweet, I'm not the only person with an old school AT&T plan. How old is your phone? Which model do you have?
I'm still rocking a Nokia 6800 (pretty certain I have had this phone now for 5+ years). I SERIOUSLY need to upgrade to a new phone. I really can't even see the screen without it being lit up. I have to hand it to Nokia though. This thing still works.

Still curious as to how to get a new phone and if the old sim cards of the GSM/1G network will work with them

same here, but I was told any upgraded phone will not work with the old plans. I'm still on the old ATT plan (before ATT and Cingular merged). I think I'm still on the 1G/GSM network lol. But yah, I've had my phone for ages and it's breaking down on me. Tried to buy a phone at an ATT store at full price and the guys there told me the sim card won't work or isn't compatible or something. Was also told I'd have to change to a new plan if I wanted to upgrade my phone. One of the guys there told me to buy an unlocked phone, but he also said my sim card may not work with it.

i don't know what they're talking about. I'm serious...goto the asian stores. Renew your plan, but with different phones. go for the free phones. they'll give u a new sim card. My sim card still works...I'm running a sony ericsson w810i. had it for a few years now...lookin to upgrade to another sony walkman type phone.
