And the amount of data that i've used per month on average in the last 6 months...

1.6 gb.

They threatened to throttle my data usage.

I suspect this is because of the fact that I still have the unlimited data plan at $30 a month with my iphone 4. How can 1.6 gb be in the top 5%? And they tell me now after 6-8 months of consistant data usage? They will be getting a call today.

Anybody else get this text/email?

Your not in the top 5%. They are doing this to everyone with an unlimited plan.

Yeah, that is what I figured. I just don't like the fact that because I'm on unlimited data they are theatening the throttle my data. This is not they way to get me off the unlimited data, how about some incentives AT&T?

 

I still have my unlimited data with my 3GS, funny how I havent gotten that email/text.

I think I used 5 GB a few months ago (I was stuck on duty a lot that month, lots and lots and LOTS of forum browsing and video downloading)

 

I'm grandfathered into the $30 unlimited on my iPhone 4 as well, haven't gotten this notice yet. I'm sure I'm in the next wave though.

 

As soon as you go over 2gb in a month you'll get message.

I've gone over 2gbs and I have the unlimited plan... Now that I just aid that, I bet i'm about to get the message.

I just received a text about being in the top 5% when I went over for my dec-jan cycle. I tried to get over 2gb that cycle to get my moneys worth. Considering I'm on my phone a lot I don't use that much data. Downgrading to the 2gb plan to save $5 isn't worth the hassle =\
