I've unfortunately have had Cingular for about two years and I can't wait till this contract is up in two months. I haven't been able to use my phone for about three months. The phone they gave me is horrible and I never get a signal wherever I go. Even when I'm mountain biking and I am up high on a hill overlooking the East Bay, I don't get a signal. When I can connect to someone, it only works for about a minute and I get cut off. Before I get cutoff, all I get is static. Customer service isn't much better. I have been complaining about them since day one. It took them 6 months to bill me for the plan I originally signed up for. They would never let me change my phone because it is horrible. They would tell me to guy buy a new one. PPPFFFTTTT, yeah right! You want me to spend more money with you idiots?! Don't ever get Cingular. I know it isn't just me, a few of my friends have Cingular also and they absolutely hate them, too. My brother has gone through Sprint and T-Mobile and hated them both, also. Personally, I think all of these companies are crooks like the cable companies. No offense, if any of you work for them.

You guys know that you CAN cancel if you have unacceptable service. Just because you signed the contract doesn't mean that the company can provide you with sub-par service.
You just have to b1tch very loudly, and don't try arguing with the first ******** that answers the phone. It's all about the supervisor.
-=Eric, got his sister out of a two year contract after a month.

Too be honest im not gonna knock on any other carriers and im not gonna say cingular has the best reception, but the "keypoint" is that you always have that 15 day trial with every carrier to see if it works in all the primary places you travel to or live at, and all you lose is an activation fee. again im not gonna say cingular is the best but there are people that are satisfied, we have the lowest rates, ROLLOVER, and we dont extend your contracts when you change your plans.
also if youve had a bad expierence going to a store or kiosk youve most likely went to an authorized dealer which is a shame to cingular because there the ones who give us a bad rep.
bottom line is every carrier has its ups and downs and the only way to "YOU PERSONALLY" find out if that company will work for you is to try it out, take a friend or family member out with you to where your primary use is and find out your results.
