ahhh...
Black Shadow: Yes please email me your phone # and I'll call you. Thanks again!
KnightRider: Thanks again for the info! Good stuff. Guess I'll be doing more research. Don't wanna be stuck with crappy phone/service for a year or two.

I'm so not a phone person. I use to have a cell phone that i'd bring with me while mountain biking incase i crashed out and needed help. But after several years of really never using it i gave it up. Saves me $$$ too.
"please don't phone and drive" it's the #1 cause of car crashes these days.

well as a store manager for Cingular, just so you know T mobile uses the same towers as cingular, if u go to a T mobile store and ask them whats the difference with Cingular vs T mobile coverage there most likely gonna make some bull sh*t up and say they have a higher bandwidth
so yeah if your looking to get new service ill be more than happy to help you if yah wanna sign up with cingular, and possibly hook you up with NO CONTRACT!!!

I live in the East Bay, used to have AT&T, couldn't deal with the high prices, switched to T-Mobile, and find the quality decent.
Plus, if you use your phone a lot (me=1000min./month), T-Mobile is definately economical...

They all suck. Get one of those Aboriginal swingy-things and go to the top of a mountain.
I'm an AT&T customer and I'm not impressed but I don't see any other companies doing much better.

I've had Verizon for a couple years (got it when I lived near Chicago) -- I only really use the phone when I'm traveling so I wanted something with good nation wide coverage. It's been great for that, I've been all over and never lost coverage anywhere I wouldn't expect to (like in the mountains) except here in the SFBay area! It completely drops out in parts of downtown Walnut Creek for instance! Next to the bay it's always good, and I was in the Sierras near Yosemite earlier this week and could make calls when neither of the other two cell phones along (one Cingular, don't know what the other one was) could.
