Bought a new daily, a 2000 Outback Limited, and knew the risks of buying used sunroof cars. Worked perfectly fine until a week ago, when the sunroof just stopped working. However, the next day, it works again. After experimenting for a few days, I came to conclude that it only works perfectly in cold temperatures, but in hot weather, it's either sluggish or just doesn't work at all after a few uses.

Any ideas? Maybe the motor is going bad or the contacts in the switch is worn.

 

Sounds like bad contacts in the switch (IMO most likely), damaged harness or bad relay.
