also keep in mind that within the first 2-3 weeks you will gain weight before dropping weight. this is because you will build the muscle, then lose the fat.

the best thing to do is to eat 6 smaller meals a day and drink lots and lots of water.

Man i was just thikning about starting to work out. Here at school we have a nice work out facility and it's free. I use to go 6 times a week, did all muscle groups , and that felt good, but haven't had time lately. it sucks now because i'm really out of shape and getting jiggly everywhere. After myfinals i think im gonna head to the gym and pump some iron. my gf loves to swim and since it's summer, she'll wanna go and i can't haev her eyes wander. working out really feels great, sometimes you feel it's boring, but there are mirrors everywhere for a reason. go ahead, check yourself it, you deserved it, gain confidence. and when you're at home, you can pose nakkid infront of the mirror

.....not that i do, psh

Oh, and eating more meals + less is great, i just started doing that, and it's working, plus i'm not hungry like i use to be. i use to eat 1 small meal and a huge one, not a good idea but couldn't help it with school and all. it feels so good to just fill yourself though =\

I just bumped it up to 5 days a week with Rat. I'm single and chasing skirts again. Have to shave off 4 years of weed and working from home.

I have found that using a creatine mixed with good protein mainly derived from numerous small meals throughout the day seems to work best for me. The creatine I use is a Creatine Ethyl Ester HCl which is different from creatine mono hydrate. Feel free to look some of this stuff, everyone has their own opinions on supplements. Personally from what I have seen, if you take NO-Xplode, seriously, prepare to explode because you will be in the bathroom in no time with a major case of the *****(for a lot of people). The protein shake I take is ON 100% Whey, but I prefer bars because they fill me up and that cuts calories-depends on what cycle you are on. Also one more thing for people who like to get hyped up on caffeine before working out, go do a little research and you will see that caffeine restricts blood flow therefore rendering a less effective workout. That is all.

I've been going to Bally's in Danville and I didn't renew my membership this month.
Are there any good deals right now? I'm applying for Alameda County Sheriff soon and I need to continue getting into shape.
I have a very busy schedule with work and school and it has made it very difficult to work out at night. But my significant other wants us both to make time to go together 2-3 times a week.

IMO body weight excercises are great. Pullups, pushups, abs/crunches, squats, lunges and dips will give you great results. I used to always use dumbells but I have slowly been getting away from them. A co-worker of mine is a long time marine and he really stresses the importance of bodyweight exercises. I still use dumbells for shoulders and biceps but I have found myself doing much less benchpress, lat pulls, rows, tricep extensions, etc...

The only bad thing is that bodyweight exercises are NOT fun at all, weights in comparison are much more fun. Going to failure on pushups and pullups really sucks but the results are worth it.

Also, to reinforce what a few others have already said, eating REAL food like beef, chicken and fish is the BEST way to gain mass and gain weight (for you 130 pouders ). A supplement is mearly that...a SUPPLEMENT. Dont replace that real meal with a protien drink, add it to the meal or have it later for a snack. You should eat/drink the protien supplement when you are too full to eat real food.

the best thing about body weight workouts is that you dont have to buy any of the weight. Unless you consider the food of course.
