Subaru Warranty Question
you know...
a good dealership might fudge that 54 miles...
a great dealership wont make you **** in your pants waiting for them to get back at you.
a kick *** company will look at that and say "dont worry about that extra 54 miles..."
but we are talking about stevens creek...
and you do have those mods...
good luck...
one last strategy. get a lawyer who can make the case that the ODOMETER is slightly off and is "fast" and if you calibrate it correctly, you are really way under the 60k mark... just a last bit begging point...

Do you think i am exempt from the warranty at this point? or could there be any possible way that they will make an exception ?

i purchased the car used at 21k miles.. so supposedly i have 60k miles on my own warranty, which goes up to 81k as fd777 said? or 60k including previous owner's ownage and mine?? i am confused
it's 60k.
only way that you would have had any chance of getting SOA to cover this was to beg them to ignore the fact that you are over 60k... if you had bought it new. even then they probably would have said no.

I have no idea how it works if you bought the car used... It's probably 60K even. (only a guess)
Best of luck to getting everything resolved.

well, all you have to do is barrow someone esle's gauge cluster that has less miles then 60k then take it to a dealer that will fix it under warranty. and put your stock parts back on. good luck cheerup&ENJOY!!

fraud is not the way to go.
instrument clusters can have vin numbers recorded in them with electronic coding i would not risk the chance of them finding out you changed clusters you take the chance of getting nailed for fraud. nah not cool.
go to the dealer talk to service manager in person explain your situation and see what they say. (dont tell them its modded) (remove mods before taking it in to the dealer if they are going to work with you) If they say no then you need to move on to fixing your car, if your mechanical then diagnose it
see if the motor is actually messed up or if its just another issue. if your motor is jacked then pull it and rebuild it or get a motor from gruppe-s or someone who build good motors.
