That this is happening is no surprise considering Toyota owns 16% of Subaru now.

Every GM car ever made...The US car companies are the ones that started it. Same chassis with different trims and slightly different styling, rolling off the same assembly lines.

Toyota has been doing this up until recently too = Vibe/Matrix. Ford and Mazda, Subaru and Saab, etc...

LFA hardly counts since it's so expensive... I'm talking $20-80k. Nonetheless, good looking car(s). Can't wait to see them on the road.

The new FB engine produces less 200hp, it will prolly be in neighborhood of 170hp.

I don't see insurance being high compared to an impreza wrx sti

Actually - it's more difficult naming a vehicle that isn't sold under multiple branding.. Try it.. At least this is Japanese on Japanese..

Try Ford/Mazda GM/Toyota... Chrysler/Bitsumishi... Etc Etc..

ok well you didn't specify the price range, but since you did now. Then here's a car within that price range: IS-F msrp $59,760

unless you want to be more specific on what qualifies?

Semantic challenge accepted! A RWD, two door car weighing less than 3500 lbs and with clearly sporting intent. Less than 2500 lbs would be nice but let's be real here. What I basically described is a MKIV Supra, but something closer to the FT86 would be more appropriate/accessible.

IS250C weighs 3,840 lb, its like a luxury sports coupe. A pity its a vert, if it were a normal coupe it would probably be a sports enthusiast car.
