Seems to have the proportions of the early BMW M-coupe, which might be a good thing.

No, it is a joint development. Toyota has their own model that will be RWD using a Subaru motor and Subaru will have their own model which will be AWD. Chassis and engine are the only shared items, and according to that article, it would seem Subaru will offer a trubo model while Toyota will not.
