sounds pretty easy, but take off sideskirts? is it bolted or plastic clips? How do i take those off? Which part of the bumper do i take off?

 

Hey I have the same problem as you but it's on the passenger fender. Some mother ****er hit my car way worse than yours, so I have to replace it. I have ordered the piece from Livermore Subaru for like 175 including tax. I asked the parts guy to give me a discount because the guy that I bought my car from said he will give me prices at their cost. Normally I think it's like 179 plus tax.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure they don't come painted. And even if they did, all the bodyshops tell me that the fender will look different than the rest of the car if its not blended, because of the way the metal in the paint sets, even if its the same color. My car is PSM too. My deductible was $500 for collision, even though this **** looks like vandalism. The estimate came out to like 1000+ from Progressive minus 500 equals about $500 for me. I know someone in Pleasanton that will do the whole job for like $300. Cause I told him that I only have about $300 left after buying the fender. This includes, taking off the mirror, door handles, sideskirt, headlight, and blending the fender with the door. I am just waiting to clean up my garage because he needs a place to work on the car. He works at a body shop and is just looking for some side cash. If you are interested, let me know, maybe we can do this thing together, but I just have to clean my garage first. I can barely walk into my garage because there is so much junk. Unless you have a garage he can work in.

 

I got my first door dent today and its pretty bad, stupid ***** in corolla. IM PISSSSED OFF.

I also think that replacing the fender with a factory painted one is the cheapest/best route...

 

yeah, except the ydon't come painted from the factory =(. If they did, i'd do it in a heartbeat. So my plan is just to wait for a someone to part out their car..i mean really part out like a fender in PSM and just buy it and put it on myself. it'll be a long wait but eh it's cheap. If I don't find one in half a year i'll get factory one, pay someone to paint and blend. If i don't have the money i'll just pop it out. no biggy. BTW, does anyone know if the 05 STi fenders are the same as the 02-05 wrx/sti fenders?

 

it should be the same as the 04-05..not sure about the 02-03s
