Would help traffic flow better. No more prius people in the fast lane.

Everyone thought the samething when the carpool lane was thought of.
Works for the most part with semis. They are surposed to only use the right hand lane.

Yellow lic plate for teens
white plates for 200 hp
blue plates for 300hp
Red plates for 400+hp

Then also issue a rear plate only to save some budget money.

All you can do is try to make it easier to do it legally but instead we're making it harder. Less and less tracks mean more and more street racing. Period.

the movies don't start street racing. The movies come from the street racing.
I couldnt agree more, its true if there was to be a track in the 831, it would put a stop to 80% of ilegal street racing, people from all over the area will pay to come, instead of going 2 1/2 hrs. north for just one day....

Then make it a pay to play. You want 200 ? 300? 400+hp car.. You need to have some seat time at a driver school.
The age/lane restriction is pretty dumb IMHO. How are you going to enforce that? Get colored stickers for someone who is that age? What if they drive their parents' car?

Although, I do agree that before getting the permit, they should be forced to take X amount of hours at a professional driving school, not some random driving school. If not that, California needs to increase the difficulty of their driving tests, and if you fail once, you HAVE to go to a professional driving school program, as it's ungodly scary sitting in my friends' cars who have failed at least once.

Too bad it'll never happen, since the whole country is so built around having your own car. People can't even walk/bike 3 miles to get groceries, because we're such fat americans (yes, I'm one of them, but trying to be less lazy, haha) And, so many people wouldn't be able to get to work because public transportation sucks.

only part of that I agree with is the colored plate. I think you should get a red plate if you've had a DUI. And there should be a colored plate for those under 18 or under 21 for that matter. You aren't any smarter at 21 than you are 18 and now you can drink.

HP limits are stupid. You can kill someone just as easily in an 80hp honda as you can in a 400hp evo. I had no problems doing 150mph in my sub 200hp civic. NO problems.

I don't think MORE control is the answer. I think we're already giving to much control to the government. The answer is PARENTS and FAMILIES taking back the responsibility of raising their own ****ing kids. Discipline is not a crime.

I've seen a guy die at 20 mph. But limits are better then hp lock outs and restriction like the sport bike manafactures was facing 6 years ago. They were told to police themselfs or be regulated.

I'm all for having more control over my life then any government. But if it lets me run my car down the fast lane without a prius suddenly pulling in front, Or some random kid in dads corvette killing everything in a 400 yard line.
I'm down. I think most of us would.

Regulating the right, is better then losing the right.

Oh and about the guy in the vette? Yeah that falls on civil court for the most. One of the people I spoke with about it thinks the parents of the vette, will also get charged with the accident. Just like when your parents are not home, You have a party. And someone leaves the party drunk and hits and kills someone. The parents that owned the home the party was at can be held. This has been happening for some time now.

People are stupid for the most part when it comes to driving.. The fear of a steep fine is one of the only things now days that slows most of them down.

Insurance is trying to make you pay to play. It's for the safety of their investment, not us though.

That one sounds interesting for the road.. but I still dont see how it stops street racing down business district etc. Sure it'll make more money and I guess that might stop people but I'm still iffy that 200hp vehicle can't do more damage to a 300hp vehicle. Anything above 40mph is going to result in a pretty nasty crash, whether you are 200hp or 400hp anyways.

As for age.. it would suck for those who have to share cars, or a kid bummin' mom n' dad's ride. Too many misconceptions. There would have to be a new license plate installation. Like it'd have to be embedded in trunks, so a license plate can't be just taken off without fiddling around with the trunk, I'm sure there will be tons of thefts due to people having an illegal ride anyways and want to drive out on the street.
