This is why I don't street race. It's one thing to not care if you die, but I couldn't live with myself if I hurt a kid much less kill one. That mitsu driver better hope the family of those people never catch him. He'd need the cops to protect his *** from me if it were my family.

Late term prego. They get the 3rd trimester hornies and her man prolly wasn't givin' it to her cause he's scared of tappin Jr in the head, so she was taking out her sexual frustration in the only way she could.

I meant to say "hormones".

The bigger problem is this...

Street racing has been around from the start of cars. People buy cars, they will race them at some point in their life. The key here is, what is the cause of the street races in areas like a busy street? That is two fold:
1)Lack of legal race tracks. Race tracks all over have been closed over the years in the name of "too much noise". This leaves less LEGAL places for kids/racers to go. A prime example of this is here in the bay area where you have to all the way up to the north bay to find a legal track, and even that is only one night a week.
2)Uninformed/ununiform inforcement by police. At this point you have police that will pull over anyone that even LOOKS like a racer/modified car. This means people hide the acts and where they go in a "cat and mouse" game. I can think back even to the 80's, when I was in Highschool. We use to race all the time, but...we had one street we went to, no homes in the area only a farm, you could see for 2 miles from the center point in both directions, and the cops KNEW we did it. Hell they came down once in a while and watched. We knew better than to race on the freeway or in residential places and because of this, LEO's gave us a bit of leaway.

Sounds like the age group was early 20's. The problem is, just as young adults become wiser and stop doing (as many) stupid things, they become late 20's adults and the next batch of doe-eyed cocky teenagers become the new young adults.

Unfortunately, we are not cylons and do not carry the previous incarnation's experience and wisdom. ;P

Overbear, I agree. I wish there were free tracks in every city. Even if there were there would still always be a few fools flying through traffic on a friday night.

"The crash occurred at Highland View Avenue and Colorado Boulevard about 10:30 p.m. A witness said he saw the Mitsubishi hit a Nissan Maxima, which police believe also was involved in racing. The Nissan, with five people inside, then slammed into a tree on Colorado Boulevard's median and caught fire, Lopez said."

and they said theres a third car involved also, so she was racing, no way her car would wrap around the tree if she was goin speed limit
