For example today I went down to lawrence expressway and there was a nice chevelle, one of those cars is worth a lot. But of course he did have those dumb *** 30 inch chrome wheels...

Besides the over sized wheels, i'd say the stickers and what not is just lame let alone all these cars with body kits that look like a 9 year put them on. I dont really care for body kits period but when they are not even put on right they look even worse.
It's not that "crazy" when it's an '83 Malibu sedan painted bright orange or an '85 Caprice painted fluorescent green riding on a wheel/tire package that cost well over $2000 out the door. Those two examples are ones I used to see by my old work in Foster City a couple times a week. Another I saw in San Bruno was a burgandy early 90's FWD Buick Park Avenue up on massive rollers. But then in Hawaii it was pretty common for someone to have a $10k stereo system in their $500 car.

That's the funny thing about donks - the rims typically cost more than the car. I saw Chris Rock in Oakland a few years back and he said "MF will put rims on ANYTHING around here. Hey, look I got 22s on my TOASTER." LMAO.

Lol, I guess I miss all these other cars than.. Everytime I see them, they are usually like chevelles and 442's and what not. Except one time when I went out to Utah I saw an 80's camaro with a lift and huge four wheeling tires. Weird people...

At least those wheels are on newer cars... Some of those idiots will put 30" wheels onto some POS american car from the 80's. One TIRE costs more than the entire car itself... I cant imagine how much all 4 tires and wheels cost. What happens when you get a flat tire? Do you take out a second mortgage?

cars must belong to some white kids lol

Haha. A chick at work had to drive her son's Escalade to work one day because her car was in the shop. The lambo doors wouldn't stay up

... No.. It's a style trend.. Kids don't buy them for safety concerns (thats just how they rationalize the purchase) - they buy them because they come in flashy colors and you can see them behind the grill... I've heard such comments as they "look tough"..

Now - if someone purchases flat black supertone's that are essentially invisible - then it is no longer an appearance mod and doesn't belong in this thread - Otherwise - they are STRICTLY there for looks.. Why don't they install flat black supertones? - It would defeat the entire point - Lil' Sis said it best "Theys fo decoration man - thas it an thas all".. Either way - they look and sound quite stupid.. Perfect example of "monkey see monkey do" trends.

99% of subaru drivers under the age of 20 would disagree with me as they think they are "fresh".

*Edit - I wasn't complaining about placement btw - just the silly flashy colors that say "Look at me !! I installed aftermarket HORNS!!!!!! DAMMNN"....

Who came out with those first? The first time I ever saw them were those Volks

like 5 YEARS before every other asshat company started making them. I didn't mind them at all when they came out and like 2 companies were making them, but they are so played out that Volk dropped the look.
