Stripped Bolt Halp

So I've hit a snag recently in attempting to remove my air conditioning out of my scirocco. I've removed the A/C pulley off the motor, but could not for the life of me get the M8 x 22 bolts, which hold flange hub, to loosen. I actually stripped the bolts' edges on two of them. I then dremeled a notch into the bolt, then inserted a screwdriver and tried to wrench it off but the screwdriver I have may not be wide enough. My problems are: the bolts are attached to motor and already stripped, I've notched it deeply in an attempt to use a screwdriver and wrench; I can't seem to find a wide enough screwdriver or a similar FORGED tipped tool, and it's in a sh*tty spot for easy removal I figure at this point I might as well take the motor out and take it to a shop. That way I have a chance to clean out the engine bay, resort the wiring and really familiarize myself with the car. Thoughts? What would you guys do? And before you bring out the flamethrowers this is my first time doing this kind of stuff but I am not completely lost.

That's fine to take the head off, but I'm guessing he wants the shaft out as well. Drill it out, yo!

Yeah, I need the shaft, or stud out as well. I've posted on VWvortex, and the response I've gotten has either involved wedging an oversized XZN socket in there after heating it up with a hand torch, then torquing it off. The other involves taking the head of the bolt off via drill/dremel then using a pair of pliers to remove the stud, or shaft. I think the second is a lot safer sounding, and feasible but the only part that gets me is the maybe centimeter or 2 of stud on which I have to grip my pliers. Also, I think the source of my problem comes from the contact between the washer of the bolt and the surface of the pulley, right? If I take off the bolt head, then the stud will be easier to remove, right? Is there any chance that the bolt may have seized between the thread of the block and screws?

Thoughts and comments are ALWAYS appreciated!

it will take it off just gotta keep tapping at it and it will spin it loose just gotta point the tip at an angle and not directly at it like your gonna break the head off

You're better off using a chisel and hammer and doing it by hand. An air tool is only going to be harder to control.

torch has always worked for me in those ****ty situations.

Looks like since you got such a good picture, you've got some space to work with.

Good luck

Agreed. You don't want to mess it up any more...
