that blows....
I kid you not...catching a car theif would make my life so much less stressful. I could use an anger release.
I'll keep an eye out..I wander CL from time to time.
I'm gonna have to get a new alarm. This is bull. I think people are targeting us now because of the value of the parts.
Talk to your insurance agent..not sure what the limit is but if you have reciepts they should cover what you had on your car...everything ATTACHED to the car gets covered.
But some companies have maximums of like $1000 and crap like that.
But definately check. You might be able to afford that STI after all.
That car was so hot. At this point I just hope they don't find it and try to fix it cause it's gonna be stript. If you don't find a car in the first few hours it's gone....it's gone. Sadly I know a couple of guys that used to steal cars. Bastards.

Will the insurance cover all the mods??
Had to ask as I'm not sure how it works over here, I know in England you take it with no lube if you have mods as they wont cover anything over book. You have to take out another policy for the mods and only certain companies do that (it's pricey as hell!)

damn, that sucks man...
This is why I never buy the stock alarm and always go aftermarket, with starter kill, extra sensors, wired hood, wired trunk, etc., AND when I park someplace that has shady security, I also put the club on the car. A determined thief will get it, but the added annoyance means my car is less of a target, because the layers of security make it "more hassle than it's worth". Anything you can do to increase the time a thief needs to get the car increases your chances of not getting your car ripped off...
Good luck, and I'll keep an eye out for it.
