This car has probably held it's value better than any other new bmw, maybe any bmw besides the 507 and given it's time around.

I'm sorry but these cars are at a minimum 150 grand. You couldn't be more wrong, 60 grand lol you haven't ever been able to find a completely wrecked one for that.

Hopefully you were kidding the z8 is very rare and has held incredible value especially for a bmw over the humps of the last 15 years so well, go look at any supercar from that era, none of them are like this, not ferraris, not lambos. None of them held strong the entire time. The z8 will worth 1 million bucks some day for sure.

 

Yep. It's time is coming, to be sure. I firmly believe that even one purchased at top dollar today (that would be around $200k, +/-) will still be a worthy investment in this crazy world. I played down my enthusiasm for the car as well, because I guess most people do not know much about them and brashly compare them to any other BMW.

It's a limited production run, hand-built, basically a show car that made it from the auto show with different wheels (just lost the central lug, wheels look the same), slightly taller winds-screen, steering wheel and front valance - otherwise it IS the show car. Hand-welded aluminum space-frame. Each car came with a matching metal hard-top. Most of them were sold via Personal in non-standard bespoke colors and paints, which was easily possible since each car was built by hand.
