Speeding Ticket Error...dismissed?

Hey guys. My friend got a ticket in Contra Costa county for speeding, 88 in a 55. I was looking at his ticket and it says under vehicle model 00 Ford Tempo. The car is in fact, an 00 Ford Escort. What steps should he take to fight it? I know some of you on here have gotten tickets dismissed for this or similar reasons, how'd you do it? thanks

Its worth a try, but as long as the Lic plate is correct, and the year and make are correct, I doubt the judge will let it go. Its pretty clear he did it, and the cop just screwed up writing the model.

actually, it's www.ticketassassin.com

and that site preaches "trial by written declaration". i've tried it once, and it worked that time. i got a dismissal. not sure if it was because of errors on the ticket (wrong year and address) or because the officer didn't submit his paperwork on time (he was even granted an extension). either way, it's free and worth a shot.
