Is your car fixed up? Something must have caught the cops attention. They probably stereotyped you. Do you have a loud exhaust, tinted windows?

traffic cops usually pull you over for stupid reasons like barely going over the speed limit, which everyone does and is the safe thing to do sometimes, but worst is no front plate, clear sidemarkers, burnt out tail or head light(especially when you already kno about it), failing to use a blinker, or passenger not wearing a seatbelt and you getting the ticket too(hey its the passengers choice). All i'm saying is yes these are all infractions of the law but they are ones that are broken regularly and daily that most cops pass up expect for desperate to make quota cops and traffic cops.

n. pl. police
1. The governmental department charged with the regulation and control of the affairs of a community, now chiefly the department established to maintain order, enforce the law, and prevent and detect crime.
Sounds like they did their job...
i'm not sure if this is correct,
but it was always my understanding that a traffic cop is someone standing in the middle of a busy intersection, directing traffic.
the type of cop that pulled you over is a regular patrol officer.

Quotas (department goals) need to be met, then they can continue with chasing down criminals of a different nature

p.s. you can also get a ticket for going UNDER 65, or so I was told in traffic school years ago in Concord.
edit: curious, has any one here ever gotten pulled over by BART police on the freeway? It didn't happen to me, but I saw someone on the 24 get flashed by one.
