Someone buy this! (evolves into R32 thread)
Took a while for this to make it on here....... being a subaru forum and all... Lol
Hey So I guess mines a Subaru Impreza 22B WRX Legacy STI Ver. 1-5-8

I like your car too, but you don't have all those shiny bolts
While I agree that a lot of meticulous detail went into that car, I also agree that it is NOT a v4 STI, it is a replica. The seller basically points this out while at the same time still calling it an STI?
It is like the craigslist people trying to sell a 2.5RS as a WRX because they have a few WRX parts on it, or a few STI parts on a WRX so they post it as an STI. NOT. I have STI parts on my car, that doesn't make it an STI. Or an M3 or a Type R.

I think this is a slightly different case than have a few JDM parts on a car and trying to pass it off as JDM. He's not trying to fool anyone and disclosed every detail regarding the build. It seems he replaced or upgraded EVERY part on the chassis...and he also states he has everything for RHD conversion including the firewall. So I think it is more than "just another swapped RS", but it is also not a "true JDM" car either. May be he would have been better off calling it a clone than Ver 4 STI...I don't know...
Regardless...Call it what you want to call it, but the work performed on that car is bad ***ing a$$...buyer definitely wouldn't be chasing mechanical/electrical gremlins from USDM/JDM mismatching. I can definitely appreciate this build.

a pity if one of us were to purchase this, we still won't be able to drive it on the streets.

Who knew replacing **** with the nearly same **** was bad ****ing ***?!
Learn something new everyday!
He really needs to stop calling it a Ver4 STi... no, really... he's a dumbass for even trying to mention it, and then back tracking when talking about it.

IMHO The dude effectively built himself a (new) car from scratch exactly how he wanted it done from start to finish. Obviously the choice of car isn't everyone's particular brand of vodka, but I personally cannot cap on the effort or quality of the outcome. It is a nice change to see this after all the HellaRuined WRX and STi projects nowadays...

Time/money. If I had excess cash, my Justy would be taken down and rebuilt as new again. Instead, I am doing it sort of like one would paint a large bridge (not optimal).
