****ing hell, a new president will not magically turn the gas price around!! I'm so sick of hearing that BS. Its totally fine if you hate GW (I dont like him or his policies) but a new president isnt going to turn the market/economy around!!

Gas will ALWAYS go up and right now we are feeling the pain especially hard because of the weak dollar, poor market and lots of speculation...not to mention our HUGE appetite for oil. If we had an alternate fuel source, stronger dollar and better economy, then prices could possibly come down.

Seriously, gas could be $7.00 a gallon and everybody would still pay it because we dont have any other fuel sources.

sarcasm... what do I need to right "sarcastic comment" next to my stuff now.

I don't make nearly as much money as I used to. Living expenses are up. Wife is facing a lay off. I haven't gotten a rase in well ever at my current job. So financially I'm worse off than I was but life wise I love my life. I'm a happy guy. My 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks. I have a wrx that I love. A pain in my *** caddy that I love working on. I'm learning how to do interiors, build motors, weld, paint so it's rad. I'm one of those guys that likes to enjoy life and look at the bright side actually so I enjoy my life.

Does that clarify things for you enough?

you people need to realize that I'm a smart *** and love messing with people. Especially on this site. I think it's safe to say that pretty much anyone on this site that's actually chilled with me (mostly O.G. folks) would say I'm a pretty stand up dude and fun to hang with... Even daniel/brucelee and it would appear online we hate eachother.

LOL!!!! never...The rep from Torrance told me that the engine will not pass California emmission. So, it would be an Si with badges and kit, just like the mugen si at $30K. Would you pay $30k for a Civic? and 91 gas, since this tread is about gas.

Get a Diesel... my Jeep Liberty (4700lbs) get's 20+ in the city and up to 32 on the highway if I'm driving responsibly (read, speed limit). My 20 gallon tank costs about $100 (!) to fill up but I get between 400-600 miles per tank and I'm running B99.

Motor Driven Cycles may be excluded from Freeways, and nearly every freeway has a sign at each on ramp prohibiting motor driven cycles and pedestrians

My scooter is 150cc, it will do 60+mph, but I'd consider it pretty insane to ride on a real freeway even if it is technically legal.
Your scooter is classified as a Motor Scooter, not a motor driven cycle... wait... it should be. What do you ride?

Anyhow, it's 200cc for the freeway... my Vespa GT200 does 70mph easy and I hop on and off the freeway up here a lot. If it's super windy I don't though. I wouldn't ride down to SJ on it though as I'm almost maxed out at 70.

Vespas also take Premium but 2.5 gallons last me about 140+miles depending on how much WOT I'm riding.

Yesterday I saw $4.75 for premium Chevron at the corner of Jarvis and Newark Blvd. (Checked today and it went down 10 cents). Then right down the street premium was $4.46 at 76.

Yeah, I probably would not be down for doing that every day on a bike... Plus the freeway around 880/80/980 is CRAP and pretty nasty on a bike.. Grooved pavement, big holes/gaps.

What gets me is gas stations in CA are charging more for regular than stations outside of CA charge for real premium. Yet another reason I can't wait until I can leave this state.

Cmon 91 octane is NOT premium, it's midgrade!!! Stop calling it premium and charging premium prices for it.

According to the current DMV handbook, 150cc and up is a MotorCYCLE. <149cc is a Motor Driven Cycle, and a Motor Scooter is like this...

They also specify Motorized Bicycles as having pedals and not more than 30mph.

150cc and up is OK for freeway, but as I said, 150cc seems scary for freeway.

My scooter is a Genuine Blur 150, also known as a PGO G-Max. For a scooter it's pretty sporty, but it's still just a scooter. ACcording to the DMV rules, it's classified as a motorcycle. Just barely tho

I love the Genuines.. those are fun. My friend has the Buddy and we swapped for a short ride... took me a minute to get used to how light the Buddy was compared to my GT. My GT is a pig at 300lbs...

FWIW- It says MS on my title... Every one of these I've registered has been classified as a Motor Scooter... go figure. The DMV never knows what other parts of the organization are doing or supposed to be doing.

i am on E (empty not drugs) right now. Gas light is on. I am going to try to make it to costco where 91 is 4.32. I am afraid i will not make it there might have to do the chevron thing and buy 4.71/gal vs 4.32/gal. I dont know how costco does it but i think my membership has paid for itself with what i saved over another gas station.

The only thing that bothers me is where they are getting their gas that makes it 4.32. I mean seriously $.40 cheaper. My car still runs well on it. i dont notice any spool lag or shotty performance. drives the same as if i put shell in her.

Anyone with any inside info? Or is costco just the way to go. hell the 87 was only 4.11 <--- *laughs at saying only 4.11 for regular*

If i hit $70 my wife says she gets to drive the subie and i have to drive the prius. I drive 75 miles round trip to work she drives 9. But when i drive the prius i feel like a douche bag. I dont even look at other drivers. When i get stuck at a light i slouch down and hide. I feel ashamed to be in that car. And she doesnt even have the car pool ok stickers. It is just so much better being in my rex. people look at it in awe, not like i am a loser in a prius. Please be 69.99 or lower.

Just did the math. i think i am f***ed. If i cant make it to costco and have to go to chevron. assuming the gas prices didnt raise over night, which they probably did.

And assuming that i have to fill up 15 of my 15.8 gallon tank like i think i do.

$4.71/gal x 15/gals = 70.65 x wife˛ ± prius = ****ED IN THE ***!!!!!!!!!
