so uhh.....gas?
how much is everyone paying for gas right now? I live in Tracy and it's like $4.57
|
$4.47 at the cheap spots and well over $4.50 at chevron/76.
RIDICULOUS! it's gone up 20 cents in the last like 10 days. every day pretty much. I don't understand how they can increase so much on gas they've ALREADY purchased. It's in the ****ing tanks. |
4.69 for 91 at pleasanton chevron on hopyard
|
$4.48 + .03 cent dicount at safeway in roseville sunrise and cirby
|
Prices are gettin' pretty crazy. All my buddies dont understand that I still put premium in the subie even though I'll probably have to sell a kidney on the black market soon to pay for gas.
A good website I check out every once in a while is http://www.sanjosegasprices.com/. It's a grassroots website where people post up what the current gas prices are in your area. That site is mostly for South Bay people, but I'm almost sure that you could find one for most of the regions around the bay. |

shoot, I"m looking at moving. I figure if we get close enough to where we both work we can pay about $500 more in rent and the decrease in the gas bill would offset most of it. |
can someone explain to me why gas is getting more and more expensive?

In short, because people keep buying it. It's nice to see public transportation getting more packed and seeing more bikes on the road than ever. I am hoping these prices are what finally needed to happen to force people to change the system. After filling up my car crossed the $60 mark, I got another bike and realized how much more fun and convenient it is to use the bike. Even if prices went down to where they were when I moved back from the UK (premium was $1.35 at the time) I would still commute on the bike for other reasons. I am really hoping this pattern happens to a lot of people, and people see that they do not all need to drive a car to/from work every day solo. |

because they can get away with it. and no one is doing anything to stop it. I think people should put pressure on the presidential race to do something about it. No excuse. Bullcrap. |
