thanks for reminding me, I was going to see if competition 91 at Laguna Seca is still $4.50. I said a while back if gas got to $4.50 and Laguna Seca stayed the same, I'd just fill up there

You can get an M1 permit with just a written test, not too hard. Only restriction is daylight only, no passengers, no freeway.
Passengers and freeway isn't much of a restriction on a scooter anyway.
I love the R for sure, it's an awesome car, but I am putting it up for sale. Since being on the bike I don't use it as much and it just sits there. Gonna put it up about $1k less than 'trade in' for a week, and then send it to auction if you know anyone lookin for an R. Brand new STaSIS StreetSport coilovers too.
To ride a scooter, you have to have a full M1 license. Used to be you could ride under 50cc and many people still think you can, but they changed it.

A big reason for the previous price increases was due to speculation on Wall St driving prices up while those who were forcasting doom and gloom were selling oil short. What that means is that they were trying to drive the price as high as it would go in order to cash in when the price came back down to earth. I figure the price of a barrel of crude should be around $75 or so, and we will probably see sub $100 prices again within the next 12 months.
Probably not because the test has a bunch of stupid questions that have nothing to do with common sense and more to make sure you read the book haha. But if you read the book through, you shouldn't have much trouble.

Gas prices
I buy 100 so that price has not changed. I figure for $1 more a gallon you get better running car.
Motorcycles: Motorcycles are not the best option unless your a scooter. Must be 250cc or larger to use the freeways.
You need to get a m1 permit then take the msf course. Makes learning much easier.
Few things that people need to know about bikes.
They get the same gas milage as your car.
They are very dangrous to ride in comute time traffic.
Cost of operation denpending on model can be just as high.
Oh and they are not cooler on a hot day then riding in your car. Its like having a hair dryer in your face.
Spend allot of money on helmet, boots and MOTORCYCLE gloves.
I have been racing, working and riding motorcycles for over 20 years.
Gravity works.... So get a bike you can handle and not one your buddies say is the coolest.
If anyone has any direct questions about bikes or needs help going to look at one.
