look on the bright side, if u were going to take the new job, all the work was done for you. no need to stress yourself with something that won't change no matter what you did in terms preparing for the new job.

I skipped reading through the reply posts but here is a free tip.

Check with your references before using them, especially if they work at the company you are leaving. If you don't approach them and ask specifically to keep it hush hush they might not.

Try and not let it get to you though. It's water under the bridge and life goes on.
