Angry So my Suby is totalled...

Driving on 680S earlier this afternoon during traffic hour, my car got rear ended and pushed into a big Cadillac sedan in front of me. I guess the moron following too closely behind couldn't stop in time and slammed into the back of my WRX. Later on a lady in an Accord, hits the guy that hits me and now it becomes a 4 car cluster****.

At first when I saw the Cadillac in front of me braking, I had already slowed down and came to a complete stop. I check my rear view and saw a purple dodge still coming at me, doesn't look like he even attemped to slow down until the last few secs. I heard his tires screaching and BAM! A second later I feel another impact, which later turned out to be the lady in the Accord.

So in the end, both the front and rear of the car are damaged. The frame is obviously bent, and my Kakimoto GT1.0z now angles up 15-25 degrees instead of to the left like it once did. Oh well, guess it's time to get a new car. Motor is ok tho, just the radiator support is bent.

Be on the lookout for a future part out thread.

Whoa! Sorry to here Dan, if the motor is OK then it's probably not totalled, but could be if all the other damage equates to around 70% of the vehicle's value. Keep us updated, guess it's good you have another/nicer car

Do I hear neck pain in your future? Seriously, you probably will hurt in a day or two, I know mine did after my incident.

Yeah Adam, my neck and back do hurt. The back of my car is toast. The metal is bent all the way up the pillar. The motor is ok though, only the radiator support is bent. But yeah, I hope insurance does total my car because there's no way in hell it'll ever drive the same again.

Well, take care could be more pain to come Sounds like the car is pretty messed up, but look at it this way, the last few cars that got totalled around here, the people made out on the deal. You might actually get more $$$ for it than if you tried to sell it prior to your wreck.

Yeah man, it REALLY sucks, just got some new stuff for the car and this happens. Oh well, I guess things happen sometimes. Nothing you can do. I'll try and get some pics up in a bit. Can anyone host the pics?

Glad to hear you're okay. Keep an eye on yourself, neck/back pain can show up after the crash.

I'd smash it up some more to make sure it's totalled. The front definately is fixable and the rear is questionable, as far as I can see from the pictures. I'd take out an A-pillar, or 2 just to be safe (if you really want it totalled). Hope you feel better though, and I'm sure you'll love your new car even more.
