Snowboard Tune Shop

I've got a few seasons on my board now and it's definatly ready for a stone grind for the base and edges. I do my own tune ups usually, waxing and edges and some base structure stuff, but now I want a whole new surface. I know that Northstar's machine and staff are the S***, but I don't want to take time out of a trip to get a stonegrind done. So do any of you other boarders know of a good place in the bay area that does top quality stone grinds? I have a Winterstick Severe Terrain so I don't want to let just anyone run it through a grindrite machine...any help would be awesome, thanks.

I don't know anymore, but Mel Cotten's in the south bay used to do a good job. I've no personal experience but I think Anymountain's are pretty safe bet.

Thanks for the replies...I'll prolly go either Helm or REI. Helm seems sketchy to me...because they sell patio furniture...but on the other hand they've had some hard to find parts for bindings so I think their repair guys are pretty knowledgable.

i got my board tuned up at REI for $25. basic tune up is wax + shapening edge. they can do all kinds of repairs there, like base filling, base repair etc.

That's the thing...I don't need a regular tune, I can do that myself (I have edge bevelers, files, diamond stones, wax + iron, etc...) What I need is a GrindRite machine and someone who is very good at using it.
